In the video “Geographies of Racial Capitalism with Ruth Wilson Gilmore”, we talk about racial capitalism. I agree with Gilmore that racial capitalism has an international side after all, because whether it is caused by war or revolution, it is always a global problem. And all capitalism begins with racial discrimination and racial hierarchy. In other words, without racial exploitation, there would be no racial capitalism.Capitalism brings us not only economic weakness, but also racial inequality. With all the prisons built, abolitionists still have a long way to go.

In the article “Bigger than the Sound: The Jamaican Chinese Infrastructures of Reggae.”,Tao Leigh Goffe points out that “Chinese diasporic capital fostered unexpected extracolonial conduits of sociality and creativity for the Jamaican masses.”because of this “black and Chinese cultural coproduction.” The fact is capitalism brings us not only economic unfairness, but also racial inequality. In the blend of reggae music and Chinese commodity economy, sound plays a huge role. But history of the cooperation of reggae music and sound does not only brings us beautiful music, but also economic communication and the spread of aesthetic values. Because of the invasion of colonialism, the Chinese and Jamaicans have to use music as a carrier to seek cooperation. Though this kind of cooperation benefits both sides, these two small business both suffered because capitalism. However, this still brings us a new point of view. In the capitalist market, cooperation between non dominant countries is a very effective way.
